French winger Harry Novillo has signed a two-year A-League deal with Melbourne City.
The 23-year-old joined City in March on a short-term contract as a replacement for injured veteran Damien Duff, who has since left the club to return home to Ireland.
But the Lyon youth academy product quickly made his mark, scoring three times in 10 appearances including eight starts.
"Harry was an important player and contributor for us in the final three months of the season and illustrated his value to the team during that period," coach John van 't Schip said.
"Despite joining the team in March, Harry was able to quickly adapt to a new environment and make a positive contribution and he is an exciting player."
Novillo's retention follows last week's signing of former Sydney FC striker Corey Gameiro and retirement of Socceroo Josh Kennedy.
